This course discusses must-know information regarding Phytophthora ramorum, the pathogen that causes Sudden Oak Death. The origins and history of the spread of the disease are covered, as well as an in-depth look at its host range, typical symptoms, similarities and differences with other diseases, and appropriate steps in diagnosis. The course also goes over regulatory action by federal and state agencies to prevent further disease spread.
